Zusammenfassung
Auf der Suche nach einem Faktor im Serum von Myasthenia gravis-Patienten, welche die motorische neuromuskuläre Reizübertragung inhibieren würde, fanden Struppler sowie Nastuk u. Mitarb., daß einige Seren von Myasthenie-Patienten in der Lage waren, die Kontraktion tierischer Skeletmuskelfasern im Nerv-Muskelpräparat zu hemmen oder zu vermindern. Auf der anderen Seite haben sowohl Marshall u. Mitarb. als auch Simpson 1960 darauf aufmerksam gemacht, daß die häufige Vergesellschaftung der Myasthenia gravis mit Thymomen oder Thymushyperplasien ein Hinweis für ein bei dieser Krankheit ablaufendes Autoimmungeschehen sein könne. Manchmal beobachtete Kombinationen der Krankheit mit Lupus erythematodes, Arthritiden und mit Schilddrüsenaffektionen (Rowland u. Mitarb., Schimrigk u. Mitarb.) sowie mit antinukleären Faktoren, Antikörpern gegen Schilddrüsenglobuline oder mit dem Rheumafaktor unterstützen diese Hypothese. 1960 wiesen Strauss u. Mitarb. dann nach, daß bei Myasthenia gravis-Patienten ein Serumfaktor vorhanden sein kann, welcher sich an die Querstreifen menschlicher Skeletmuskulatur bindet. Dieser Serumfaktor kommt in der 7-S-γ-Globulinfraktion des Serums vor (Beutner u. Mitarb., Strauss u. Mitarb., Grob u. Mitarb.). Es handelt sich bei ihm sehr wahrscheinlich um einen Antikörper, da dieser Faktor sich mit verschiedenen serologischen Testen, wie sie für den Antikörpernachweis gebraucht warden, nachweisen läßt und da β Komplement bindet.
