Zusammenfassung

Am Anfang dieser Ausführungen scheint es dringend geboten zu sein, einige Schlüsselwörter kurz zu erläutern, insbesondere darzulegen, in welchem Sinne sie hier gebraucht werden. Was meinen eigentlich Wörter wie „Inhalt“, „Wert“ und „Syndromdynamik“ bezüglich ihrer verschiedenen klinischen Begrifflichkeit? Der Begriff „Inhalt“ lenkt das Augenmerk auf einige gegenwärtig kursierende Sätze von Inklusions- und Exklusionskriterien — worunter sich oft genug chronologische befinden —, die zum Stellen einer psychiatrischen Diagnose gebraucht werden. Mit „Wert“ meint man den Grad der Brauchbarkeit, den die in Frage kommenden klinischen Begriffe bis heute erlangt haben. Wenn man also in diesen Ausführungen von Validität bzw. von validen Diagnosen spricht, wird damit gerade dieser Aspekt der Utilität diagnostischer Begriffe mit angesprochen (Kendell 1975; Robins u. Guze 1970).
