Zusammenfassung

Die sphinktererhaltende Chirurgie des tiefen Rektumkarzinoms hat unter Berücksichtigung von Radikalität und Kontinenzerhaltung, dureh Verbesserung der Operationstechnik und des perioperativen Managements, weiter an Stellenwert gewonnen. Im ersten Halbjahr nach kontinenzerhaltender Resektion treten hohe Stuhlfrequenzen, imperativer Stuhldrang, Stuhlschmieren und herabgesetzte Reservoirkapazität als häufigste Komplikationen in den Vordergrund [1]. Der Kolonpoueh scheint aus rein technischer Sicht ein probates Mittel zur Verbesserung der oben angesprochenen Kontinenzprobleme [2–5].
