Lokale Therapie des Rektumkarzinoms

Zusammenfassung

Aufgrund bestimmter klinischer Kriterien wird zunächst entschieden, ob man den Tumor primär durch radikale Resektion oder aber durch lokale Maßnahmen entfernt. In letzterem Fall entscheidet die sich anschließende pathohistologische Untersuchung des lokal entfernten Tumors über das weitere Vorgehen, d.h. ob die lokale Therapie als definitiv und ausreichend angesehen werden kann oder ob eine radikale Resektion als definitiver Eingriff anzuschließen ist.
