Zusammenfassung
Im ursprünglichen Sinne bedeuten Hämoptoe und Hämoptyse „Blutspucken“. Im heutigen Sprachgebrauch versteht man darunter „Bluthusten“, also das Abhusten von Blut aus dem Bereich von Larynx, Trachea, Bronchien und Lunge. Hämoptoe und Hämoptyse sind Synonyma, die unterschiedliche gehandhabt werden: Besteht der Auswurf ausschließlich oder überwiegend aus Blut, liegt eine Hämoptoe vor. Dagegen wird jeder leichterer Grad der Blutbeimengung zum Sputum als Hämoptyse bezeichnet.
