Experimental Models of Chronic Inflammatory Diseases

Part of the book series: Bayer-Symposium ((BAYER-SYMP,volume 6))

Abstract

The introduction of the New Zealand Black (NZB) mouse and the related hybrid NZB/NZW F1 (B/W) mouse into experimental medicine 20 years ago has contributed greatly to our understanding of autoimmunity in general and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) in particular.
