Zusammenfassung

Divertikulose ist ein häufiger Befund in der westeuropäischen Bevölkerung. Es wird geschätzt, dass ca. 5-10% aller Personen über 45 Jahre und ca. 80% aller Personen über 85 Jahre Divertikelträger sind. Eine symptomatische Divertikulitis entwickelt sich in ca. 20% der Divertikelträger.
