Zusammenfassung

Eine korrekte Interpretation neurophysiologischer Befunde setzt die Kenntnis exogener und endogener Einflußfaktoren auf neurophysiologische Parameter voraus. Unter exogenen Einflüssen werden Störfaktoren verstanden, die zu einer Artefaktüberlagerung der registrierten elektrischen Aktivität führen, wobei zwischen Umgebungsartefakten und vom Körper des Patienten ausgehenden biologischen Artefakten zu unterscheiden ist. Endogene Einflüsse wie z.B. die Körpertemperatur führen zu Veränderungen neurophysiologischer Meßgrößen, welche von neuropathologisch bedingten Veränderungen abzugrenzen sind.
