Zusammenfassung

Die Papilla Vateri umfaßt die in der Duodenalwand gelegene Endstrecke bzw. den Mündungsbereich von Ductus choledochus und Ductus pancreaticus major. Sie ist in den posteromedialen Wandanteilen der Pars descendens duodeni lokalisiert. Ihr obliegt die regulierte Drainage von Galle und Pankreassekret in das Duodenum, weiterhin verhindert ihre Ventilfunktion den Einstrom von Duodenalsekret in das Gallengangs- und Pankreasgangsystem.
