Zusammenfassung
Die Wahl des Sorbens und des Fließmittels sowie die Minimierung der Auftragebreite sind wichtige Schritte auf dem Wege zu einem optimalen Trennergebnis. In dieser Hinsicht ist die DC sehr flexibel und erlaubt viele Lösungen. Die DC besitzt dabei eine Einflussgröße, die anderen chromatographischen Verfahren fehlt: Dies ist der Einfluss der Dampfphase auf die Trennung. Die DC ist ein offenes System. Während der Trennung bilden sich mobile und stationäre Phase im Wechselspiel zwischen Sorbens und Fließmittel, unter Einbeziehung der Dampfphase, aus. In der HPLC z. B. ist dieser Einfluss nicht gegeben. Dort werden die beiden Phasen nur durch das Zusammenwirken von Fließmittel und Sorbens gebildet. In der DC besitzt der Analytiker über die Wahl der Trennkammer eine weitere Möglichkeit, um Einfluss auf die Trennung nehmen zu können.
