Zusammenfassung

Primär retroperitoneale Tumoren sind seltene Tumorentitäten, die primär nicht von den retroperitoneal gelegenen Organsystemen ausgehen, sondern entweder neuraler, mesodermaler, lymphatischer oder embryonaler Herkunft sind. Die Mehrzahl dieser Tumorentitäten ist maligne. Während bei Lymphomen und Keimzelltumoren primär ein medikamentöser Ansatz gewählt wird, so steht insbesondere bei der kurativen Therapie der retroperitonealen Sarkome die komplette Resektion des Tumors im Vordergrund. Die Gemeinsamkeit der retroperitonealen Raumforderungen besteht in der Eigenschaft, dass diese häufig mit einer Beteiligung der Organe im Urogenitaltrakt und nicht selten mit einer Verdrängung der Ureteren und damit mit einer obstruktiven Uropathie einhergehen, weshalb der Urologie oftmals mit diesen Erkrankungen in Kontakt kommt. Nicht selten ergibt sich bei den Tumoren im Retroperitoneum in der weiteren Diagnostik jedoch eine seltene Diagnose, was eine interdisziplinäre Planung notwendig macht, da sich der Therapieansatz grundlegend ändert. Im Gegensatz zu anderen urologischen Lehrbüchern soll hier der Vollständigkeit wegen auch ein Überblick über die malignen Lymphome gegeben werden. Primär retroperitoneale Keimzelltumoren werden lediglich in der bildgebenden Diagnostik als wichtige Differenzialdiagnose, ansonsten jedoch gesondert im Kapitel über Hodentumoren beschrieben.
