Zusammenfassung
Es gibt viele Indikationen, die zu einer Ultraschalluntersuchung in der Frühschwangerschaft Anlass geben. Die Zielsetzung solcher Diagnostik ist primär der Nachweis von Vitalität, Alter, korrekter Lage und eventueller Mehrlinge. Darüber hinaus ist es wünschenswert zu beurteilen, ob die Schwangerschaft sich auch normal entwickelt. Die Voraussetzungen dafür sind gute Kenntnisse der Embryologie und Sonoembryologie. Das vorliegende Kapitel über die Ultraschalldiagnostik in der Frühschwangerschaft beschreibt unter anderem detailliert - Woche für Woche - die normale Entwicklung des menschlichen Embryonen im Ultraschallbild. Neben diesen morphologischen Beschreibungen werden Messungen bestimmter embryonaler und extraembryonaler Strukturen präsentiert, die essentiell für die Bewertung der Frühschwangerschaft und eventueller Fehlentwicklungen sind.
