Zusammenfassung
Kindliche Mittel-Vorfuß-Deformitäten sind in mehrfacher Hinsicht auch für den nicht primär kinderorthopädisch tätigen Arzt von Bedeutung:

1.
Vorfuß-Deformitäten des Erwachsenen-Alters haben nicht selten bereits im Kindesalter ihren Ursprung.
-
2.
Einige der im Kindesalter beobachteten Fehlhaltungen und Fehlstellungen sind harmlos und können längerfristig beobachtet werden.
-
3.
Eine Vielzahl insbesondere angeborener Deformitäten erfordert dagegen eine hochspezialisierte zeitgerechte und oft operative Behandlung. Letztere bilden den Schwerpunkt dieser Ausführungen.
