Zusammenfassung

DRG’s sind Fallpauschalen für Krankheitsarten, die seit ihrem Start zu Beginn der 80er-Jahre in den USA in fast allen Industriestaaten verbreitet sind. Die Zuordnung zu einer DRG ergibt sich aus krankheits- und patientenspezifischen Items: einer oder mehreren Diagnosen, größeren Prozeduren, dem Schweregrad bis hin zu Alter und Geschlecht des Patienten.
