Abstract
Research on issues of survivorship in cancer patients in general and marrow or blood stem cell transplant recipients in particular has developed relatively recently. Survival is a rather generic concept and includes everyone regardless of the disease course. However, long term adjustments and rehabilitation of an individual patient depend strongly upon events along the way.
