Zusammenfassung
Dieser Beitrag untersucht die Unterschiede und Gemeinsamkeiten von wissenschaftlichen und wirtschaftlichen Akteuren in Wissensnetzwerken. Aus der Sicht einer beteiligten Organisation werden dazu Voraussetzungen, Strukturen und Prozesse verglichen sowie deren Einflüsse auf die Ergebnisse des Netzwerks abgeleitet. Unterschiede ergeben sich dabei in fast allen Bereichen: Motive, Erfahrungen, Zielsetzungen, Inhalte, Netzwerkpartner, Organisation, Lernprozesse, Kommunikation und Koordination unterscheiden sich zum Teil deutlich. Entsprechend ergeben sich auch verschiedene Erfolgsfaktoren und Probleme. Der Beitrag kommt so zu der Schlussfolgerung, dass ein erfolgreiches Management von heterogenen Wissensnetzwerken das instabile Spannungsverhältnis der Gegensätze im Gleichgewicht halten muss. Dabei ist die primäre Aufgaben die Definition gemeinsamer oder konfliktfreier Ziele und das Finden einer Balance zwischen persönlichen Beziehungen und institutionalisierter „Organisiertheit“.
