Zusammenfassung
Basierend auf dem ökonomischen Prinzip der funktionalen und kognitiven Arbeitsteilung sowie dem sozialwissenschaftlichen Konzept einer wissensbasierten Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft skizziert der Beitrag den ökonomischen und sozialen Evolutions- und Transformationsprozess von der Industriegesellschaft zu einer Wissensgesellschaft. Der zunehmende Ersatz manueller durch intellektuelle Tätigkeiten in allen sozialen Teilsystemen erfordert eine verstärkte Berücksichtigung der globalen Wissensexplosion, die es für die Gesellschaft insgesamt optimal zu nutzen gilt. Obwohl die Art des Umgangs mit Wissen in einzelnen gesellschaftlichen Teilsystemen durch unterschiedliche Allokations- und Anreizmechanismen bestimmt wird, erweisen sich interorganisatorische Wissensnetzwerke mit heterogenem Teilnehmerkreis als bestmögliche Lösung der Anpassungsprobleme in dem interdependenten System der Arbeits- und Wissensteilung in einer innovationsgetriebenen Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft
