Zusammenfassung
Die »Modular Rotating Hinge«- (MRH-)Knieendoprothese der Firma Stryker zählt zur dritten Generation der Scharniergelenkprothesen. Das System bietet eine Lösung bei Fällen mit schwerster Bandinstabilität und/oder erheblichem Knochenverlust. Das MRH-Knie funktioniert auch bei völligem Versagen oder Verlust der Kollateralbänder. Es ist eine Weiterentwicklung der »Kinematic Rotating Hinge «-Knieendoprothese, die bereits 1979 eingeführt wurde. Das MRH-Knie ist mit verschiedenen primären Kniesystemen der Firma Stryker kompatibel: die Geometrie der Knochenschnitte ist dieselbe, das Instrumentarium zum Einbau (Monogram®) findet auch in der primären Alloarthroplastik Verwendung. Das MRH-Knie ist zusätzlich kompatibel mit dem »Global Modular Replacement System « (GMRS), das seinerseits den teilweisen oder vollständigen Ersatz des Femurs bzw. der proximalen Tibia erlaubt. Die Kombination mit dem GMRS-System erfolgt in der Weise, dass ein distaler Femurersatz (GMRS ) mit dem MRHTibateil oder ein proximaler Tibiaersatz (GMRS) mit dem MRH-Femurteil kombiniert wird.
