Zusammenfassung
Knöcherne Defekte, wie sie z. B. bei Knochenzysten, Knochentumoren, periprothetisch bei Prothesenlockerungen oder aber im Rahmen osteoporotisch bedingter Frakturen auftreten können, stellen für den orthopädischen Chirurgen regelmäßig eine Herausforderung dar. Mit zunehmender Lebenserwartung steigt die Zahl knöcherner Defekte. Gleichzeitig nimmt die Qualität des Knochenlagers wegen allgemeiner osteoporotischer Veränderungen ab und die Regenerationspotenz des Knochens verschlechtert sich im Rahmen der Gewebeseneszenz [28], [36].
