Zusammenfassung
Mit der zunehmenden Anerkennung psychosozialer Aspekte von Krebserkrankungen und ihrer Behandlung hat sich in den letzten 20 Jahren der Begriff der gesundheitsbezogenen Lebensqualität als Zielkriterium auch in onkologisch-chirurgischen Studien etabliert. Es liegen eine Reihe sowohl krankheitsübergreifender als auch krankheitsspezifischer Verfahren zur Erfassung der Lebensqualität in der Onkologie vor, die auf der Grundlage methodischer Richtlinien entwickelt wurden. Die meisten dieser Instrumente genügen psychometrischen Gütekriterien und sind damit zum Einsatz bei Krebspatienten geeignet. Obwohl die Anwendung von Lebensqualitätsmessinstrumenten in onkologischen Studien zunimmt, gibt es für den deutschen Sprachraum nach wie vor Entwicklungsbedarf in der Anwendung der Lebensqualitätsforschung im Bereich der Krebserkrankungen.
