Zusammenfassung
In kaum einem anderen Wirtschaftssektor haben sich die Veränderungen in Brasiliens Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft der letzten 25 Jahre derart dramatisch niedergeschlagen, wie im Agrarbereich. Die Verquickung von Wirtschafts- und Agrarpolitik sowie insbesondere die zwischen Agrarpolitik und Agrarreform wird dabei ebenso deutlich wie deren gesellschaftlich vermittelte Widersprüchlichkeit. Dabei stehen die Fragen im Vordergrund, welche makropolitischen Veränderungen auf nationaler und globaler Ebene, welche politischen Maßnahmen, welche Akteure und Interessen zu welchen Konflikten, Lösungsansätzen und Veränderungen auf dem brasilianischen Agrarsektor geführt haben und ob diese Reformen erwarten bzw. erhoffen lassen?.
