Eine Berufung auf Prinzipien spielt in der Angewandten Ethik eine große Rolle, aber ebenso werden Prinzipienethiken regelmäßig kritisiert. Dieses Kapitel bietet zunächst eine Übersicht über die Rolle von Prinzipien in der Angewandten Ethik und diskutiert danach das Modell des Principlism, die Rolle von Prinzipien in der normativen Ethik und einige Kritiken an Prinzipienethiken.
