Zusammenfassung
Im Laufe des letzten Jahrzehnts hat die Kategorie des sozialen Kapitals an Gewicht gewonnen — zum einen durch die früheren Arbeiten von James Coleman (1988) und Pierre Bourdieu (1986) und zum anderen aktuell durch die populären Veröffentlichungen von Robert Putnam (1993a; 1993b; 1995) und Francis Fukuyama (1995). Im Folgenden setze ich mich mit zwei Theorieansätzen zum sozialen Kapital auseinander, die aus unterschiedlichen wissenschaftlichen Traditionen stammen — der Wirtschaftssoziologie und der Politikwissenschaft.
