Zusammenfassung
Für SPMD-artigen Parallelismus ist eine möglichst gute Aufteilung des Datenraumes (des Netzes oder der Matrix) Grundvoraussetzung zur Erzielung einer guten Lastverteilung, und somit einer effizienten Parallelisierung. Für statische Problemstellungen, bei denen sich der Datenraum während der Berechnung nicht ändert, können Graphpartitio-nierungs Verfahren sehr gute Aufteilungen in sehr kurzer Zeit bestimmen. Wir stellen die wichtigsten dieser Techniken vor und benennen Bibliotheken, in denen sehr effiziente Implementierungen zu finden sind.
Werden adaptive numerische Verfahren verwendet, bei denen sich zur Laufzeit der Datenraum ändert, so entstehen schwierige dynamische Lastvertei-lungsprobleme mit komplexen Nebenbedingungen. Wir beschreiben erste Ansätze zur effizienten Lösung dieser Probleme.
