Abstract
This chapter offers an introduction to the process of completing a functional behavioral assessment (FBA). It takes the reader step by step through a manageable process so they do not feel overwhelmed with beginning and/or finishing an FBA. The chapter introduces and highlights the book’s unique four-phase approach to an FBA: Process, Purpose, Planning, and Prevention.
