Abstract
The emergence and development of data-based child advocacy is discussed along with the connections between the rise of data-based child advocacy and several other major trends. The emergence of an organizational infrastructure for data-based child advocacy is described. The dearth of studies labeled data-based child advocacy is documented and some reasons for the under-recognition of data-based child advocacy are discussed.
