Zusammenfassung

In diesem Kapitel nähert sich Erol Saglam der ethnografischen Forschung aus einer psychosozialen Perspektive. Er weist darauf hin, dass die Ethnografie lange Zeit mit der Analyse sozialer Strukturen in Verbindung gebracht wurde und psychische Dynamiken wie Fantasien, Träume, Heimsuchungen und andere unbewusste Kräfte, die üblicherweise mit individuellen Prozessen in Verbindung gebracht wurden, nicht gebührend berücksichtigt wurden. Auf der Grundlage seiner eigenen ethnografischen Forschung in der Türkei untersucht Saglam das Potenzial, das durch die Einbeziehung solcher persönlichen Elemente in soziale Analysen erschlossen wird. Das Kapitel argumentiert, dass die ethnografische Verknüpfung des Sozialen und des Psychischen möglich ist und zu einer umfassenderen Perspektive führt, die uns hilft zu verstehen, wie sich das Zusammenspiel zwischen dem Sozialen und dem Individuum entfaltet und wie Subjektivitäten durch dieses Zusammenspiel geformt werden.
