The terms C_gC and L_gC indicate the local clustering coefficient and the shortest path length of the observed network G, respectively. The terms C_rand and L_rand refer to the arithmetic mean of the average local clustering coefficient and the average shortest path of a number of simulated equivalent random networks, respectively.
