Abstract
Early intensive behavioral intervention (EIBI) for young learners diagnosed with ASD has been researched and implemented for decades. This chapter outlines the research supporting EIBI, the documented effects for children who have received EIBI, and how EIBI impacts adult outcomes for those with autism. The authors define EIBI, review the research on EIBI, and provide future research recommendations for EIBI and documenting long-term outcomes with adults.
