Abstract

This chapter cover the anatomy of the shoulder. Understanding the stabilisers of the shoulder is important to plan treatment options. Instability of the shoulder can present acutely or as a chronic disorder and these are common presentations in the shoulder clinic. There can be various causes for the painful shoulder and rotator cuff tears are another common condition. Principles of total shoulder replacement are discussed.
