Abstract

The most common shoulder pathologies requiring surgical intervention can be divided into three major categories: (1) soft tissue pathology, (2) arthritis, and (3) fractures and dislocations. The surgical management can differ depending on the type of injury and patient characteristics including age, functional status, and comorbidities.
