Abstract
As we have seen, the three chapters in Part I show how race/ethnicity, gender, and sexualities coalesce to produce different experiences for those who want to pursue, and ultimately enter, educational sectors. All three of the pieces highlight the various ways that individuals aspire to become teachers but also chronicle some of the challenges they encounter along the way, and how they may be overcome.
