Abstract

In this chapter we discuss the main techniques to calculate the equation of state of QCD at finite temperature and μ B = 0 in lattice QCD. In particular, we describe the differential and integral methods. We also discuss the Stefan-Boltzmann ideal gas limit, as well as the comparison with perturbative QCD results. The most recent lattice QCD results are introduced and discussed.
