Abstract

Nowadays microinsurance is gaining great popularity in Asia, Africa and Latin America. In emerging economies microinsurance products are more common than traditional insurance products. The purpose of this article is to identify the necessary factors for the successful development of microinsurance, including microtakaful, and the possibility of implementing the international experience in the Russian Federation.
