Abstract
As an emerging discipline that studies the basic laws of knowledge innovation activities, knowledge management (KM) has been developed for over 20 years. The development process of KM has experienced KM 1.0 era and KM 2.0 era. In recent years, with the digital transformation of the global economy and reverse globalization trends, some unprecedented features and phenomenon are emerging in knowledge innovation activities. That is, KM has entered into 3.0 era. In this chapter, we will review KM 1.0 and KM 2.0, and describe some of the characteristics and future challenges of the upcoming KM 3.0. We hope that this review will provide guidance for future research in the KM area.
Knowledge will replace land, labor, capital and machine equipment, becoming the most important production factor.
