Abstract
A plan for initiating environmental education at the school, college, and university level in the context of the prevailing situation is being proposed. The important areas proposed for inclusion in the plan are: environmental health; public health and the epidemiology of infectious diseases transmitted by vectors; improvement of human habitats; town and country planning; and optimal use of natural resources for increased production.
