Abstract

The inability to engage in a straightforward expression of feelings is a behavioral deficit characteristic of many clients who use prescription medications to cope with anxiety. Assertive Training is considered the treatment of choice when such a deficit occurs in the context of interpersonal relationships (Wolpe and Lazarus, 1966; Wolpe, 1969).
