Abstract
A companion paper at this conference has described a conceptual and methodological framework used at IIASA for long-term policy assessment of energy/environment systems (1). This current paper provides a complementary overview description of research results for three comparative case studies conducted within that framework, namely, the state of Wisconsin (USA), the German Democratic Republic (GDR), and Rhone-Alpes (France).
