Abstract
In the last two weeks, we all have been engaged in a very vivid and diversified undertaking. Simplifying matters somewhat, it had two main aspects — the study of hyperfine interactions of radioactive nuclei implanted into solid materials, and the consequences which implantation has for the properties of solid state materials. Finding in between these two fields the areas of mutual interest is not trivial, and in this sense the summer school was at times close to a research meeting. Here, the posters exposed and the panal discussions have certainly contributed a lot. — But after all, learning what one does not know, and how to study it, is no loss of time for anyone.
