N-Linked Oligosaccharide Synthesis and Cellular Sociology

  • Chapter
Breast Epithelial Antigens

Abstract

From a simple enzymatic reaction to interactions among cells, there are practically no biological events that do not have recognition of shapes as the key factor determining the uniqueness of the event. In this presentation I would like to introduce protein-linked oligosaccharides as elements carrying enormous potential information, essential for the specificity of biological events.
