Abstract
Though the multifilamentary Nb3Sn superconducting wires have an excellent superconducting properties at high magnetic fields, the applications of this wires to the commercial uses are limited due to the strain degradation in critical currents. Many studies1–5 have been carried out to improve the strain sensitivity of the multifilamentary Nb3Sn wires. These studies can be classified into two categories, one of which aimed at suppressing the voids in the Nb3Sn layers and the others controlling the thermal contraction of bronze matrix.
