Proximity Effect and Anderson Localization

  • Chapter
Novel Superconductivity

Abstract

Proximity effect of interacting electrons in dirty two-dimensional metals is theoretically examined in view of the recent achievement of MOS type three-terminal Josephson junction devices. It is shown that both the amplitude and the coherence length of the Cooper pair propagator are affected by the combined effects of mutual Coulomb interaction and randomness.
