Abstract
This detailed case study is of the results of cultural differences between a member of a highly individualistic culture – that of the US – and representatives of a particularly collectivist section of Colombian society – the Department of Antioquia. According to Hofstede’s1 “6-D” model, US mainstream culture ranks 91 for individualism in contrast to that of Columbia’s ranking of 13.2
