Abstract

Lung metastases are commonly seen in many cancers as a result of rich blood circulation. As the concept of oligometastases arouses interest local ablative therapies of lung metastases is being applied more commonly in clinical practice. Pulmonary metastasectomy and stereotactic ablative radiation therapy are the most common forms of local ablative therapies of second lung cancers. Here we present the current evidence about the treatment of second lung cancers including metastases and second primaries.
