Abstract

In this paper we present preliminary results on the size distribution of proto-planetary (“proplyds”) disks in the Trapezium Cluster, as measured from HST/

WFPC2 in the H α (0.656μm) images. Direct size measurements of a sample of 134 bright proplyds and 14 silhouettes disks, suggest that the size distribution of circumstellar disks in the Trapezium cluster is well characterized by a power-law distribution with an exponent of -2.6 between disk diameters 100–500 AU.
