This book mainly addresses China’s current demographic situation and social people-related policies. It aims to solve the issues of demographic transition, population aging, population flow, urbanization, population quality, etc. China is the first large population country, with the vast territory and the huge economic system. It has many issues such as productivity and production relations, superstructure and economic base, and domestic and international relations in various fields and at all levels. Hence, China needs to come up with a set of overall strategies. Authors and Affiliations
About the author
Tian Xueyuan, born in August 1938, at Liaoning Benxi, male, Han nationality, graduated from Peking University in August 1964.He is currently a member of the Institute of Population and Labor Economics of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and a member of the Academic Advisory Committee of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He is also the executive vice president of the Chinese Population Association and the vice president of the China Association for Social and Economic Purposes and the International Union of Population Science. His academic expertise is for demography and population economics.In 1984, Ministry of Personnel approved him as “outstanding contributions of young and middle-aged experts”; in 1992, he received special government allowances issued by State Council.
