Abstract
In this paper, an example of multi-functional, transportable instructional software is described. The software provides the user with a constrained knowledge space and the necessary tool to explore it. Relying heavily on graphics and hypertext linkages, the software is easy to use; it is distributed throughout the university as part of a solution to the problems of training and supporting microcomputer users.
