Abstract
A design is developed for an electrobaric membrane system of flat-chamber type; the system is intended for use in the purification of manufacturing and chemical solutions. An optimized system is proposed, with more effective separation of the solutions and greater volume of the separated solutions. The volume and mass of its components are calculated. This design decreases the hydraulic drag in the overflow channels for circulation of the separated solution; increases the productivity and efficiency of separation; and improves the discharge of the cathode and anode permeates.
