Influence of Cyclic Loading on the Effectiveness of Repeated Shot Hardening

  • Published:
Russian Engineering Research Aims and scope

Abstract

The effectiveness of repeated shot hardening is investigated as a function of the preliminary cyclic loading of 30ХГСН2А steel samples. Recommendations are made regarding the best repeated hardening schedule in order to restore the fatigue life of the parts, taking account of the preliminary loading.
