Abstract
By the method used for calculation of a threaded joint, taking account of the contact pliability, it is possible to calculate the external load on the joint due to the applied separation force and the tipping torque on the screw, as experimentally confirmed in the present study. With increase in tightening force on the screw, this load decreases as a result of the linear dependence of the contact deformation on the pressure created.
